Hello, my name is Tracey and I started Sati Yoga to share yoga with people who may not have tried it before.

Yoga has been a feature in my life for almost 20 years and is an essential part of looking after my physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.  Yoga helps me to stay present, to live with an open heart, as well as with loving kindness, gratitude and generosity.  It reminds me to experience life without judging and importantly has helped me cultivate energy and resilience to help others and to stay balanced and strong whilst doing so. This has been crucial, as I've spent 25 years working with people who have often needed support with refugee, mental health and disability charities in Wales and overseas.

More recently, I discovered the power of meditation during a stay at a Nepalese monastery and through the Triratna Buddhist community.  Through meditation, I find a profound sense of peace and connection with the universe.  Mindfulness yoga enables me to use my body as a vehicle to explore what my mind is doing and encourages the same sense of peace and connection obtained through meditation.

Using bodily movement, mindfulness yoga nurtures a presence of mind and a responsiveness to the moment.  It is a tool that can help develop this quality of being in everyday life and offers a way of living that can be transformative.  Having benefitted from yoga and meditation enormously myself, I enjoy sharing my learning and passion with others.

I studied to become a teacher with Bodhiyoga, with Uma Dinsmore Tuli of Womb Yoga and the Yoga Nidra Network and with Judith Hanson Lasater.  Since qualifying in 2016, I've offered yoga at mental health and substance misuse centres where people said I've a warm, gentle and down-to-earth approach.

Mindfulness yoga is simple, effective, contemplative and safe.  It can be done by people of all ages, shapes, sizes, backgrounds and experience.

Everyone is welcome.
